With Elite Round on horizon, 26-strong squad named for February camp.

Ahead of the Elite Round of the UEFA European Women’s U17 Championship, Lois Fidler will next month take a 26-strong squad to Manchester for a training camp.

The Elite Round, which takes place between 8-13 April, has pitted England against the hosts, Italy, Serbia and Netherlands and Fidler will use February’s training camp as an opportunity to begin her Elite Round preparations.

Included in this U17 squad is Arsenal’s Lara Fay, who scored four goals in England’s First Qualifying Round, against Belarus, Macedonia and Wales. Other goalscorers from that first phase who have been included in this camp are defenders, Alex Greenwood and Kirsty Linnett, midfielders, Katie Wilkinson, Nikita Parris and Elizabeth Ince and forward, Danielle Carter.

The squad will get together on 14 February.
