Lions beat Switzerland, courtesy of Fara Williams' second-half goal.
England picked up their second win in this year's Cyprus Cup on Thursday afternoon, with captain Fara Williams sealing her 100th appearance for the Three Lions with a winning goal.
It had been a close game with the Swiss during the first half, but the longer the game went on, the more Hope Powell's side began to break down their opponents.
And the breakthrough came as the match headed into its final third as Everton ace Williams headed home a cross to break the deadlock and secure victory for her side on a milestone appearance.
"It was a proud moment for me to reach 100 caps, but I think the performance also was good and to get the win in the end was fantastic for us," revealed Williams after the game.
"It's a great honour whenever I play for my country so to go out and get my 100th cap as captain was great.
"It was a tight game. They tried to sit back and stop us playing, so we had to change our game a little bit and they made it hard for us.
"We got there in the end though as I managed to get in the box and the cross came in so I got it with my head."
England now have a two day break before they face their third game of the competition against France on Sunday afternoon.
"We've put in two really good performances so far, so we'll be looking to keep winning and that will continue on Sunday."
