Brown generous in defeat

The England goalkeeper pays tribute to 'clinical' Germans.
Rachel Brown was magnanimous in defeat after England were beaten 6-2 by Germany in the European Championship Final in Helsinki.
The Everton goalkeeper was helpless as a superb attacking display from the Germans clinched the trophy, but Brown was proud her team-mates never stopped attacking in the Final.
"Germany were very clinical, and all credit has to go to them," she said. "We gave them too much time and space, but they're a class team.
"But we never stopped attacking tonight. Even in the 90th minute we were still going forward, and if we'd got the rest of the game-plan right then it might have been closer.
"We're a team that has come back from goals down before, and when we got it to 3-2 we thought it might be possible, but it wasn't to be."
