England goalkeeper Karen Bardsley has joined Lincoln Ladies
Karen Bardsley has signed for Lincoln Ladies.
The England goalkeeper joins the FA WSL side from Linköpings in Sweden and she will hook up with international team-mates Casey Stoney, Sophie Bradley and Jess Clarke.
Santa Monica-born Bardsley has spent the majority of her career in America and she has established herself as a key member of Hope Powell’s England squad in the past three years.
She now has 24 caps and featured in all four Team GB games at London 2012.
Bardsley said: “I’ve played with a few of the girls in both the England and GB squads and it will be great to play with them at Lincoln as well.
“Playing with two of England’s best centre backs in front of me, including the England captain, can only mean good things for the national side as well as Lincoln and I hope that all together we can win trophies here.”
