Karen Bardsley spoke to FATV after her impressive performance in the 2-2 draw against France on Saturday.

The England Women’s goalkeeper made a string of saves to frustrate the French and only conceded in the second half after Toni Duggan’s back pass got held up on the sodden Charlety Stadium pitch.

But she was pleased with her side’s performance against a nation ranked fifth in the world.

She said: “It was a disappointing result, to draw 2-2 after being two up but there are plenty of positives we can take away from the match.

“It’s always nice to be tested in a match and have the opportunity to help your team.

“I was pretty pleased with my performance but I would have liked to have won the game obviously.”
