Former England Women's captain Faye White gave birth to her first child

Former England captain Faye White gave birth to her first child on Tuesday evening.

Little Lukas weighed a healthy 8lbs and both mother and baby are doing well.

England Women’s National Coach Hope Powell was delighted with the news.

She said: “I’m really happy for her and [White’s fiancé] Keith.

“Faye had a fantastic England career and this is an exciting new chapter in her life. I know she will be a brilliant mum.

“Everyone connected with the England team sends Faye and Keith their love and I’d like to wish her all the very best for the future.”
