England Women’s final Euro qualifier will be broadcast exclusively live on BBC Two.

A win over Croatia on Wednesday 19 September will seal a place at Sweden 2013 and the BBC will be there to capture all the drama as it unfolds.

By broadcasting this match, the BBC will extend its long-running association with the England Women’s team, having screened a number of high-profile fixtures over the years, including the 2007 and 2011 World Cup campaigns and the Euro 2009 Final defeat to Germany, as well as the Euro qualifying win over Holland in June.

National Coach Hope Powell is delighted to have the BBC on board: "I say it every time, but it really is fantastic to have the weight of the BBC behind us.

"When they show our games they really help to promote women's football in this country and their coverage is always excellent. They did a great job in broadcasting the last four women's international tournaments and I really enjoyed their coverage of the Olympics as well.

"I hope we can put on a good show for them in Walsall but the most important thing is to get the win which will send us to next summer's Euros."

Jacqui Oatley will be accompanied by Sue Smith and Faye White as she brings all the action from Walsall. Commentary will come from Nigel Adderley and Lucy Ward.

Barbara Slater, Director BBC Sport, added: “Bringing women’s sport to as wide an audience as possible is really important to us and we’re delighted to be showing this game live on BBC Two.

"Over the summer viewers demonstrated a real appetite for women’s football and we look forward to continuing to support our international football team."

Tickets for the game are priced £5 for adults, £2.50 for U16s and over 65s while U12s can go free when accompanied by an adult.

Following on from the success of the England Football Party held before the Holland game, the family-friendly festival will take place outside the stadium before the game.

Fans are once again urged to come dressed in face paints, wigs and fancy dress and be prepared to make some noise.
