Steph Houghton demonstrates her prowess from set pieces
Steph Houghton etched her name into the history books this year.
The England and Arsenal full-back became the first-ever player to score for Team GB Women at an Olympic Games.
Her 64th-minute free-kick against New Zealand in Cardiff – the opening event of London 2012 – secured a 1-0 win and set Hope Powell’s side on their way to the quarter-finals.
Houghton has worked her way to the front of the queue when it comes to taking free-kicks for the Three Lions and she has scored twice from dead balls in the last five England games.
FATV’s latest festive treat for you is an example of what Houghton can do, filmed at St. George’s Park ahead of the crucial Euro 2013 qualifier against Croatia.
