Natasha Dowie’s performances, and goals, for Everton last season pushed her firmly to the front of Hope Powell’s thoughts and the forward was a regular England squad member in 2011.

Dowie made her England debut away to Turkey in November 2009 and she came off the bench in a 6-0 drubbing of Malta six months later. Her third appearance, again away from home, came this year against Serbia. The 23-year-old started up front in Belgrade and will be hoping to be once again involved in 2012.
