An impressive season for Chelsea earned Buet a number of senior England call ups in 2011.

The midfielder was involved in the U23s’ Four Nations Tournament in February and she appeared in all three matches, against Norway, Sweden and USA.

Buet was included in the senior squad that defeated Sweden 2-0 in the final World Cup warm-up match in May but was an unused sub. She missed out on a place in Hope Powell’s 21-player panel for the World Cup Finals, but was included in England’s first match after the tournament, a 2-2 draw in Serbia in the opening UEFA Euro 2013 qualifier.

Buet’s only appearance of the year came in the next game, a 4-0 win over Slovenia at Swindon’s County Ground, when she came off the bench for Jess Clarke in the final minute to help shore up the middle of the park.
