Jill Scott and Alex Scott named among best 21 players at the World Cup.


England duo Alex Scott and Jill Scott have been named in the FIFA All-Star team for the Women’s World Cup.

Jill Scott was England’s top scorer in Germany having netted the equaliser against New Zealand in the group stage and the opening goal against France in the quarter final, and she was named Player of the Match against eventual champions Japan due to the influential role she played in the Three Lions' 2-0 victory.

Alex Scott impressed from her right-back berth in all four World Cup matches and she picked up the Player of the Match award after the New Zealand game in Dresden.

England are next in action on 17 September when they travel to Serbia for their opening Euro 2013 qualifier.
