Lancashire-born goalkeeper Rachel Brown will be hoping to make it a second succe

Lancashire-born goalkeeper Rachel Brown will be hoping to make it a second successful homecoming, after being selected in the England squad for next month's women's international against Scotland taking place at Preston North End FC...

Brown will be hoping that she will start for England after keeping a clean sheet in England's 1-0 victory over Australia at Burnley FC last month. The current No.2 went on to play half a match against Women's World Cup quarter-finalists Russia last week as England drew 2-2 in Moscow, sharing nets with the No.1, Charlton Atheltic's Pauline Cope.

National Coach Hope Powell has picked a squad of 24 for the Nationwide women's international versus Scotland, which will take place on Thursday November 13th at Deepdale. The match will kick-off at 7.45pm and will be screened live on Sky Sports 1.

The squad also features Faye White, the Arsenal central defender who made her comeback as captain in the draw with Russia after a year out with a cruciate ligament injury. Star striker Kelly Smith, of US side Philadelphia Charge, and Fulham winger Rachel Yankey, who scored England's winner against Australia last month in Lancashire, also feature.

The squad will meet up on Sunday November 9th following The FA Nationwide Premier League programme and will disperse after the Scotland game. An open training session and press conference will be held in Lancashire on Monday November 10th. More details will follow.

Tickets for the England v Scotland match are now on sale. For further details check out TheFA.com or call the Preston North End FC ticket office on 0870 442 1964.
