The England senior team does not have any home games scheduled for the rest of the 2002-03 season. Hope Powell OBE's side will, however, be playing against the world champions USA in May in Birmingham, Alabama.It will be the first time England have played against the USA on American soil for six years, when the teams take to Legion Field at 12 noon local time on Saturday May 17th.
There is a chance to watch some of the most talented youngsters in the country in April though, as England host the 2003 UEFA U19 European Championship - Second Group Qualifier.
England Under-19s face a battle with Denmark, Spain and Republic of Ireland for the one automatic qualifying place to reach the Finals, which will be played in Germany in July.
In 2002, England lost to the eventual winners Germany by a single penalty in the semi-finals. It was England's best ever achievement and it saw them qualify for the inaugural FIFA U19 World Championship in Canada in August 2002; England reached the quarter-finals stage, losing 2-6 to the hosts in front of 24,000 fans.
The Under-19 qualifiers will take place between 14-19 April 2003, with the matches being played in Bedfordshire.
