94 Days To Go

The USA give us the greatest show on earth.

USA ’94 was the first time the World Cup had been held in North America, and with a perception that “soccer” in the States simply wasn’t a big enough draw for the masses, the football world waited with bated breath for a tournament that could seriously fall on its “fanny”.

Concerns, however, proved unfounded and the tournament, with over 3.5 million people in attendance, is still recognised as the most well attended World Cup of all time – even if England didn’t qualify!
