91 Days To Go

Maradona makes some magic on the world stage.

As an Englishman it is still difficult to laud Diego Maradona quite as vocally as the rest of the footballing world.

Yes, he’s one of the greatest players ever to grace the game but he also punched a ball past Peter Shilton in the 1986 World Cup quarter-final and knocked England out of the tournament, and for that reason he will always be a cheating little so 'n' so!

However, in the 91 appearances he made for Argentina during his tumultuous career he did do some ridiculously good things with a football, so we'll take this opportunity to begrudgingly salute his outrageous talent.
