The exceptionally agile right-winger has waited patiently for his chance in the England team and will be keen to build on his two starts for the national side in 2007.
Lennon was picked to start for the Three Lions in the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Israel and Andorra in March.
The Tottenham winger played his part in helping England secure a tough draw against Israel in Tel-Aviv.
He then followed that up by playing the full ninety minutes against Andorra and helping the Three Lions come away with a 3-0 victory.
Lennon joined Tottenham back in July 2005 for from leedsa United for £1m and has become one of the most exciting young players in the Premiership.
The 20-year-old, who is highly popular among fans at White Hart Lane for his speed and agility, has recently signed a new five-and-a-half year deal that will keep him at the club until 2012.
Lennon is one of the shortest players in the Premiership at only 5â?? 6', but his small physique is only beneficial to his game enabling him to dart past opponents at phenomenal pace.
He was part of the World Cup 2006 England squad, featuring in three games during the campaign.
Lennon has also been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year Award. He received nominations two years in a row and finished third most recently behind Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United and Cesc Fabregas of Arsenal.
The attacking midfielder started his career at Leeds United when he made history in his first senior appearance as the youngest player in the Premier League on his debut at the age of 16 years and 129 days, ironically against current club Spurs.
