England's goalscoring saviour Joe Cole warned England's next opponents Croatia that they will approach Wednesday's match in Zagreb with renewed confidence, after the Chelsea player's brace ensured a 2-0 win over Andorra in Barcelona.

England were frustrated by a dogged Andorra during the first half, but Cole, a half-time substitute, ensured a morale boosting victory with his brace which he now hopes will inspire his team ahead of a rematch against their Euro 2008 nemesis.

"Judge us after Wednesday after we've played against a side that's ranked as one of the best sides in the world," said Cole.

"We have a lot to prove but we got the job done tonight and we want to move on and win the next game. You can't compare tonight's game with the one on Wednesday.

"Croatia is what it is all about and we can go there and get a result.
