England's current number one, David James, reveals that he's unfazed by David Seaman's decision to play on......
Having started the Three Lions' last four games - all of which England have won - West Ham stopper David James has just established himself as the nation's number one 'keeper.
However, with Wednesday's news that his predecessor, David Seaman, is to carry on playing for at least another season, James could have been forgiven for fearing that his reign between the sticks might have been curtailed before it had really begun. Not a bit of it.
After Tuesday's win over Serbia and Montenegro, James said: "Is the onus on David Seaman to take my position? Well he is not in this squad is he? We've got a game on Wednesday and that's my only concern.
"What happens next season is next season.
"But if he is good enough to play, then he is good enough to play. It is as simple as that.
"Do I feel in possession of the shirt? Against Serbia I played the whole game. That may be a hint or a suggestion about that."
