Striker speaks to FATV after his winner seals Play-Off spot.

Connor Wickham fired England Under-21s to top spot and a Euro Play-Off place on Monday night and told FATV that he believes the squad can go all the way to next summer's Finals.

Stuart Pearce's side ensured they will be seeded in Friday's draw with a narrow victory over Norway and it was Wickham's opportunistic first-half goal which proved to be the winner.

"Obviously I'm delighted to have got the goal, and the winning goal," said the Sunderland striker.

"I think the team did well together, especially towards the end when everyonre was tiring, but I think the most important thing was to win the group and that's what we did.

"We go through as a top seed and all of the boys are happy that we did it."

The hard work that has gone in over the last year of the campaign means that England are now just two games away from the Finals in Israel and with the Play-Offs taking place next month, Wickham and his team-mates know what's in store.

"All the boys know what's expected from them and all of the boys know it's not going to be easy," he added.

"It's a long, difficult road but there''s enough talent in there to go all the way I think."
