Ince handed Under-21s debut

Thursday, 06 September, 2012

Stuart Pearce names his starting line-up for game in Azerbaijan.

Blackpool winger Tom Ince will make his England Under-21s debut this afternoon.

The son of former Three Lions skipper Paul - who himself played twice at this level for his country - starts in their important Euro 2013 Qualifier in Azerbaijan.

Ince has scored four times for his club in four games this season, and caps his first call-up from Stuart Pearce with the number 11 shirt.

Four members of the Team GB squad from London 2012 also start, as Craig Dawson pairs up with Steven Caulker at centre-back, Danny Rose is at left-back, and Marvin Sordell begins up front.

However, goalkeeper Jason Steele, who was also part of the Olympic side, misses out due to illness. Manchester United's Ben Amos is in goal.

The match kicks off at 4pm (BST) and we'll bring you updates here on TheFA.com and via @FA on Twitter.

1 Ben Amos, 2 Martin Kelly, 3 Danny Rose, 4 Jason Lowe, 5 Steven Caulker, 6 Craig Dawson, 7 Wilfried Zaha, 8 Jordan Henderson, 9 Marvin Sordell, 10 Jonjo Shelvey, 11 Tom Ince

Subs: Declan Rudd, Ryan Bennett, Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Smith, Josh McEachran, Nathan Delfouneso, Ben Marshall, Connor Wickham, Martyn Waghorn

FATV went with Under-21s kit-man Neil Jones to set-up in the Dalga Stadium dressing room earlier today. Watch the video in the player below.
