West Bromwich Albion defender Joe Mattock trained with the England Under-21s on Tuesday morning after joining up with the squad on Monday night.

The Three Lions are currently preparing for their latest Euro 2013 Qualifiers; an away  double-header in Iceland and Norway.

Coach Stuart Pearce saw six players ruled out from his initial 27-man squad through either injury, illness or call ups to Fabio Capello's Senior Team for their Euro 2012 Qualifier in Montenegro on Friday night.

Having already called upon Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan from the England U19s squad to strengthen his numbers, Pearce also brought in Mattock, who last played for the Under-21s in March 2009.

The former Leicester City man has five caps at Under-21s level since his debut as a 17-year-old on November 2007. He also represented England as they reached the Final of the 2009 UEFA U19 Championship in Ukraine.

The squad now heads to Reykjavik where they will take on the Icelandics on Thursday in the first of two tough qualifying matches. The meeting with Norway in Drammen takes place on Monday.
