Stuart Pearce has called up Arsenal midfielder Henri Lansbury to the Under-21s squad ahead of their match against Uzbekistan at Bristol City on Tuesday night.
The game will serve as an important part of preparation as the team looks ahead to two must-win qualifiers next month, away in Portugal then against Lithuania at Colchester United.
Pearce called upon former U19 international Lansbury, who has one cap at Under-21 level, following the withdrawal of Newcastle United forward Andy Carroll and Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba from his original 19-man squad.
