Adam Johnson is adamant Stuart Pearce’s England side don’t fear anyone heading into the semi-final of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
Jack Rodwell’s header gave England a 1-1 draw with Germany and ensured they will take an unbeaten record into the last four.
England could face any of Italy, Sweden, Serbia or Belarus in the semi-final, but Middlesbrough flyer Johnson is happy to take on any of them to prove The Three Lions are the best young side in Europe.
"We don’t fear anyone going into the semi-finals," said Johnson, who was voted Man of the Match against the Germans.
"We’re all focussed on coming here [Sweden] and winning. We did really well in the qualifying campaign, and coming here Spain were probably the favourites.
"But we beat them 2-0 and so some people will say we’re the favourites.
"If we are the favourites then I’m sure the lads will take it with a pinch of salt, and we just have to concentrate on keeping our heads down and looking towards the semi-finals."
