England Under-21s kick-off an important year when they go head to head with Sweden at Walsall on Tuesday 5 February.

Tickets to see Stuart Pearce's young stars in action are still available direct from Walsall priced from just £5.

With Euro 2013 on the horizon in June, the Young Lions will be keen to pick up from where they left off last year.

Six wins from six games, and no goals conceded, saw England qualify for the Finals in Israel in style.  

Captain Jordan Henderson, who rifled home a fine opener in Liverpool's 5-0 win over Norwich on Saturday, has already experienced two major tournaments with England.

Having featured in Pearce's side in the Finals in 2011, he was also part of Roy Hodgson's Senior squad at Euro 2012.

And he believes there is a great spirit among the current crop of young England stars and hopes he can help them achieve success this summer.

"It was a great experience last time, but obviously very disappointing not to go further in the competition," he said.

"Again, though, we have a great opportunity to have another go and hopefully go even further this time around.

"The lads are great in the Under-21s set-up and everyone gets on so well. We have a great team spirit.

"For me it’s just an honour every time I play for England, never mind as captain. I always look forward to leading the team out."
