Action from the Under-21s training session at Carrow Road ahead of Serbia clash
Carrow Road welcomed the England Under-21s squad on Thursday for their final training session ahead of Friday's
Euro 2013 play-off first leg clash with Serbia.
The team looked lively as they warmed-up with a keep-ball practice, which also saw Coach Stuart Pearce roll back the years as he joined in.
And the players will need to be at their best when they return to the stadium for the match, as Pearce is expecting a tough encounter against a side unbeaten in qualifying.
But he says he has been looking forward to returning to Norwich, where he has enjoyed two previous victories with the Under-21s.
“This play-off had been pencilled in for Norwich for a long while, simply because of how we have always been welcomed by the club and the fans in this neck of the woods," he said.
“It’s somewhere the Under-21s have always enjoyed playing and I’m looking forward to going back on Friday.”
Also during training on the impressive Carrow Road pitch, the team worked on their shape for the match and set-pieces, before wrapping up with a small-sided game and the regular penalties.
FATV were on hand as usual, and you can watch the highlights from the session in the player below.
A crowd of around 20,000 is expected at the game, which kicks off at 6pm on Friday, two hours before the Senior Team face San Marino at Wembley Stadium.
Tickets for the game are still available for just £10 adults and £5 for concessions and can be ordered online here
The second leg takes place on Tuesday 16 October (5pm KO BST/6pm Local) in Krusevac, Serbia.
