England U20s man Reece Brown is targeting three points against Argentina on Monday, as the Young Lions look to get their World Cup campaign up and running.

The Manchester United ace played in a midfield role against Korea DPR in Friday’s opening game in Medellin and was part of a good first-half performance which had everything bar that elusive goal.

Now, Brown wants to put that sort of display in against the South Americans to give his side a good chance of progressing into the second stage of the competition.

“It’s a big game for us,” Brown told FATV. “Obviously we drew the first game so we need a win to try and guarantee that we’re going through.

“We’ve got some DVDs of them and they’ve got a couple of good players but we hope to go into the game and get three points.

“I think if we play like we did in the first half of Korea, we’ll be alright.”

Argentina currently top Group F after a 1-0 victory over Mexico on Friday, a game which followed almost immediately after England’s game in the Estadio Atanasio Girardot.

Whilst Head Coach Brian Eastick and assistant Stuart Pearce stayed on to watch the game, Brown was also close to the action himself.

“I had to do a drug test after the game so I saw most of the match in there,” he explained.

“The left winger is very quick so he’ll be dangerous and we’ll need to stick together.”
