England will continue their preparations for the FIFA U20 World Cup by welcoming Montenegro to the Hawthorns, home of West Bromwich Albion,
 on 11 August.

September’s World Cup in Egypt pits The Three Lions against Uruguay, Ghana and Uzbekistan in the group stage and Head Coach Brian Eastick will see the game against Montenegro as ideal build-up for his charges.

It will be the U20s first match since they beat Italy 2-0 at Loftus Road in March and Eastick is delighted that West Bromwich Albion have agreed to stage the game.

"I think the venue is excellent," said Eastick, who is currently in Ukraine for the UEFA European U19 Championship.

"There will be a good playing surface and a nice environment at the Hawthorns and it will be nice if we can get a decent crowd there too," he continued.

"We’re training in the Birmingham area it should be a worthwhile couple of days for us.

"At this moment, I am not sure who will be available for us to take to the World Cup, due to club commitments and the tournament is outside the calendar, but whatever squad of players we eventually take it’s important they will be prepared for what will be a very challenging tournament, and this game will help them with that.

"The World Cup is going to be a great experience for the players and the staff. We will be facing a variety of opposition and the group stages alone will give the players a chance to face three countries from three different continents and three totally different cultures of playing the game."
