Amex sold out!

Friday, 28 October, 2011

Next month's game with Denmark in Brighton is a sell out.

The Amex Stadium is set to break an England U19 attendance record after both Brighton & Hove Albion and The FA announced that next month’s international against Denmark has sold out.

The sell-out crowd means that Brighton’s brand new stadium will surpass the current official record of 19,968, set by Norwich City’s Carrow Road when England drew 1-1 with Czech Republic on 6 October, 2004.

England U19 Head Coach, Noel Blake, thanked the fans who have bought tickets and will be right behind the team on 10 November: “We’re delighted that the game has sold out so far in advance and it will be a fantastic experience for our youngsters to play in front of a big and passionate crowd on home soil.

“The Under-21s are in action against Iceland at Colchester United on the same evening and that’s sold out as well, so there’s real interest around our youth development squads at the moment.

“I know from my time with Portsmouth that the South Coast is a real hot-bed of football and we’re really grateful to everyone who will be attending our game at the Amex Stadium next month.”
