Nathan Redmond is ready to rub shoulders with some of the England Senior and Under-21 stars at St. George’s Park next week.

The Birmingham City winger is in the U19s squad to face Denmark at Doncaster next Tuesday and Noel Blake’s players will be training alongside their peers at the national football centre on Monday morning.

And the 18-year-old is looking forward to using the St. George’s Park facilities again, with the likes of Roy Hodgson and Stuart Pearce just a few pitches away.

He told TheFA.com: “I’ve been to St. George’s Park before as we trained there before the Germany game earlier in the season.

“It’s a really nice facility so it will be great to go there at the same time as the Under-21s and the Senior team.”

Redmond is a club mate of England goalkeeper Jack Butland and has played with Raheem Sterling for the U17s and U19s before.

So he admits that seeing their progress through the international ranks can only act as inspiration for all of the U19s squad.

“I’m no stranger to some of the first team lads that will be around,” he admitted.

“But for some of the other lads in the squad it will be quite good for them to be around it and see how quickly you can go through from the U19s to the Under-21s and then the Seniors.

“You only have to look at players like Jack Butland, Raheem and Wilfried Zaha to see that.”

Redmond is part of an 18-man squad for Tuesday’s game at the Keepmoat Stadium, although Blake has been forced to make two changes so far with Crewe’s Max Clayton and West Ham’s Daniel Potts withdrawn.

They have been replaced by Chelsea’s Lewis Baker and Manchester City defender Greg Leigh respectively.
