Head Coach Noel Blake selects his 18 men for Estonia

UEFA European U19 Championship
First Qualifying Round
Wednesday 26 September – Monday 1 October 2012
England, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Ukraine
Tallinn, Estonia

*** There have been six changes to the original squad, with first England call-ups for Kieran Fenton (Nottingham ForesT), Raheem Hanley (Blackburn Rovers) and Adebayor Azeez (Charlton Athletic). Adam Jackson, Ben Osborn and John Swift have also come into the squad to travel to Tallinn. ***

Noel Blake has named his 18-man squad for the First Qualifying Round of the UEFA European U19 Championship.

England will get their campaign underway against Estonia, the host nation, on 26 September, before facing Faroe Islands two days later and they will round things off against Ukraine on 1 October. The top two nations in the group, plus the best third-place team across the 12 groups, will make it through to the Elite Qualifying Round which will be staged next spring.

The Young Lions reached the Euro semi-finals last season where they were agonisingly beaten by Greece after extra-time, but the Head Coach knows they have a long way to go before they can contemplate another run to the latter stages.

Blake has called upon eight players who travelled to Hamburg earlier this month for a testing friendly against Germany.

Nine players will be hoping to earn their first U19 cap in Estonia and they will no doubt look to the experience of Nathaniel Chalobah and Eric Dier who have 20 appearances between them.

However, every member of the squad does has appeared for England at youth level before, be that at U16, U17 or U18 level.
