England U19s Head Coach Noel Blake has selected his first squad for the new season, as the Young Lions travel to Germany for what should be a stern test ahead of October's First Qualifying Round for the 2013 European Championship.

Blake, who took last season's U19 group to the semi-final of the Euro Finals in Estonia, has plenty of international youth experience at his disposal too, with four players from the squad who were in July's roll-call able to play again for the U19s this season.

Chelsea's Nathaniel Chalobah, Everton's John Lundstram and Birmingham's Nathan Redmond all scored in games at the Finals earlier this summer, whilst Sporting Lisbon defender Eric Dier was also a key part of the squad and they are all back in the group again for the new campaign.

Liverpool striker Adam Morgan also featured for the U19s last season, scoring the winner against Portugal during the Limoges Tournament in October.

Morgan is joined by a number of players from the U17 group which reached the World Cup quarter final and Euro semi-final in 2011, along with others who all featured under Blake as England U18s last season in the games against Slovakia and Poland.

There is a first England call-up at any level for Barnsley defender John Stones, whilst Southampton's former U17 international James Ward-Prowse is also selected and Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom is in the U19s for the first time, still a year younger than the rest of the group, after impressing for the U17s last season.
