England U19s will prepare for the their UEFA European Championship Elite Round of qualifying when they face Czech Republic at Leyton Orient’s Matchroom Stadium on 28 February 2012.

It will be the U19s first match action of the New Year and will serve as a warm up for the Elite Round in May which will be hosted on English soil for the first time since 2006.

It’s been a busy year for Noel Blake’s side and the U19s boss is looking forward to the Czech Republic’s challenge in February.

He said: "The Czechs have an excellent reputation in youth football and it will be another stern test for our youngsters.

“You only have to look through the record books to see that Premier League players such as Petr Cech and Roman Bednar have come through their development team ranks in recent years so it will be a good experience for us ahead of the Elites later in the year.”

England have qualified for the Elite stage as one of Europe’s top ranked sides and Blake is delighted with the progress that his side has made.

“There’s been some fantastic work taking place behind the scenes and it goes back to when I joined The FA in 2007 and Brain Eastick was Head Coach of the U19s," he said.

“Brian took us to the Euro Finals in Ukraine back in 2009 and we reached the semi-finals of the same competition the following year. Spain edged us on goal difference to qualify for last season’s tournament and they went on to win the title so we can be pleased with our progress against high calibre opposition.”

Blake watched Leyton Orient’s 2-1 win at Notts County last Saturday and is looking forward to taking England to the Matchroom Stadium: “It’s an atmospheric ground which everyone saw when they drew with Arsenal in The FA Cup last season," he said.

“Russell Slade has a reputation for being a nice guy and a proper football man so the club are in good hands there for sure.”

Ticket prices for the game are £3 adults and just £1 for children and concessions while FA Charter Standard clubs can take advantage of 25 free tickets. Groups of 15 people or more can buy tickets for 50p per person.

Tickets can be ordered via 0871 310 1883 or www.leytonorient.com from Friday 23 December
