England U19s continue their warm-up campaign for this spring’s European Championship Elite Qualifiers with a friendly against Russia at MK Dons on 25 March. KO 7pm.

Brian Eastick’s side head out to Belarus in May and will need to win a group that includes the hosts plus Serbia and Poland if they’re to make the finals in the Czech Republic later this year.

England’s warm-up campaign for the qualifiers got off to a flying start at the beginning of February with a 2-0 win over Croatia at Swindon Town’s County Ground and Eastick is hopeful that the Young Lions can produce a repeat performance against tougher opposition.

“It was an excellent win against Croatia in difficult conditions. It was a very stormy evening and the pitch was heavy, but we adapted well to secure a fine victory,” said the England U19s Head Coach.

“The fact we kept a clean sheet was also pleasing but we know that Russia will be a step up in class and that’s just what we want at this stage of our preparations.

“Like us, they’re one of the top seeds for the Elite Qualifiers so it will be a good test ahead of our trip to Belarus in May.”

Fans have been flocking to see England U19s in action this season with big crowds at Doncaster Rovers, Barnsley and Scunthorpe United while over 11,000 crammed into Swindon’s County Ground for the Croatia game.

Stuart Pearce’s England U21s side have already sold out Stadium:MK this season and another big crowd is expected when the Young Lions roar into Milton Keynes on 25 March.

Charter Standard clubs can claim up to 50 free tickets while group bookings are just 50p per person for parties of 15 or more.

Ground admission costs just £3 for adults in advance (£5 on the day) and £1 for concessions.
