Peacock prepares to rotate

England U17s Head Coach will make use of his full squad against Turkey on Friday.

England U17s Head Coach John Peacock is preparing to utilise his full squad as they prepare to take on Turkey in their second game of the St. George's Park International Tournament on Friday evening.

The Young Lions were edged out by 3-2 against Italy in the opening match on Wednesday and Peacock will make changes for Friday's game at the Sixfields Stadium in Northampton in order to fully assess the players at his disposal.

Whilst everyone in the group was disappointed with Wednesday's reverse, Peacock was pleased with aspects of the performance and is looking forward to seeing how his young charges react to that disappointment.

"We'll have to pick ourselves up from the defeat, we're all disappointed but it's about learning from your performance and managing your game a bit better," explained Peacock.

"We have to be better at that on Friday and we will rotate the players around, we said that at the beginning that we'd do that and give everyone a chance."

It should be a good game and with fans able to pay on the night in Northampton, Peacock is hoping that there is a good turn-out as England look to get back on track.

"It's another good game to look forward to and this Tournament is about having a look at all of these players," he added. "If we can win it, fantastic.

"We're still not out of it, so as far as I'm concerned, we look forward to Friday."

Tickets are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions and there are more details on tickets from all games by clicking here.
