England U17s will find out who they will be facing and where they will be based in the FIFA U17 World Cup later on Tuesday, as the Official Draw takes place in Mexico City.

John Peacock’s side sealed their place in the competition just last week, as a result of their performance at the UEFA European U17 Championship Finals in Serbia.

The Young Lions knew that they would be heading to June’s extravaganza after progressing to the semi-final of the Euros, where they lost to eventual champions Holland last Thursday.

After arriving back in England on Friday, it was only a brief stop-over for Peacock before flying to Mexico for today’s draw, which takes place at the famous Sala Nezahualcoyotl concert hall in the capital.

"Playing in a World Cup is a once in a lifetime opportunity for many of these players, and it will be an unforgettable experience for them," said Peacock, who took the U17s to the quarter final of the 2007 U17 World Cup in Korea.

"To play against teams from all over the world, places such as South America and Africa and against the best players in the world in their age group is something that will be a massive part of their learning curve as footballers and people.

"We will see how the draw goes, but it's a competition that myself, the players and the staff are all looking forward to."

Among the guests at the draw will be a host of Mexico’s most prominent footballing and sporting celebrities and high profile guests from across the world. Also present will be FIFA vice-president Jack Warner, who is the President of the Organising Committee for the FIFA U17 World Cup, LOC President and CONCACAF Vice-President Compean.

The teams will be drawn into six groups of four and games will be played in Guadalajara, Monterrey, Morelia, Torreon, Pachuca, Queretaro and Mexico City. 

The draw takes place at around 7pm BST and the nations in the hat are as follows:-

Africa: Burkino Faso, Congo, Ivory Coast, Rwanda.

Asia: Australia, Japan, Korea DPR, Uzbekistan.

Europe: Holland, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, France, England

North and Central America: Canada, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, USA.

Oceania: New Zealand.

South America: Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay.
