The England U17 squad for the Nordic Tournament later this month has been named by Kenny Swain as the Young Lions head to Iceland for the annual summer friendly competition.

Swain has picked an 18-man squad for the trip, which acts as a crossover between U16 and U17 football for the players and will see them face opposition from Faroe Islands, Norway and Iceland before a final placing match against either Sweden, Denmark, Finland or a second Iceland team.

The majority of the squad selected featured with the U16s last season, but there are first call-ups for Lewis Baker, Mason Bennett, Connor Randall , Danny Smith and Ashley Smith-Brown.

Swain will be assisted in Iceland by Noel Blake and goalkeeping coach Simon Smith before John Peacock takes over the U17s for the new season with The FA International Tournament occurring later in August.
