England U17s Head Coach John Peacock was much happier with his team on Friday evening, after seeing them dispatch of Estonia in devastating style.
The Young Lions took control of the game with two goals in the first half before smashing home another five in the second period to give them a good chance of progressing to the Elite Qualifying Round next year.
After Peacock spoke of his disappointment at the 0-0 scoreline from Wednesday's game with Armenia, his team responded in the best possible way to boost both their goal difference and condidence levels.
"Whilst the performance on Wednesday wasn't that bad, it was our play and work in the final third which should've been better," Peacock told TheFA.com
"But on Friday we did our job very well, we had plenty of opportunities, created chances and had strikes on goal.
"We started the game well again, as we did against Armenia, but until we scored the first goal, you always think it might be the same again.
"We knew we were going to be dangerous from set plays though and that's how it proved as we scored the first from a corner."
Leicester City defender Tom Parkes was the player to start the ball rolling and what followed saw five other players get their name on the scoresheet which was even more pleasing for Peacock.
"We've always said that it is a team effort and I was especially pleased to see the goals spread around the team," he admitted.
"It was a good all-round team performance and we can take nothing but positives from it."
The Young Lions now face Spain in their final game on Monday evening, knowing that a draw will be enough to see them progress to the next stage of qualifying.
However, Peacock and his team are still hoping to get victory and top the table over their hosts, who have already despatched of both Armenia and Estonia in their opening games.
"We're looking forward to Monday night now," he added.
"Games with Spain are always a big test so it's all about our recovery today and then we will begin preparations on Sunday.
"We're positive at the moment though and we came here to top the group and that's what we're still hoping to do."
