England U16s kick-off their defence of the Sky Sports Victory Shield next month, with their first game in the competition throwing up a trip to face Wales in Haverfordwest.
Head Coach Kenny Swain has named his 18-man squad for the match as the Young Lions look to win the title for the tenth successive season and with an away game to start, he knows how important a good performance is if they are to do that.
Within the squad are two players who have already got international experience under their belts, with Manchester City's Shay Facey featuring in last season's Victory Shield game with Northern Ireland whilst Everton defender Jasper Johns played for the U17s in this year's Nordic Tournament.
There are also a few familiar names in the squad, with Norwich City goalkeeper Angus Gunn being the son of former Canaries player and manager Bryan and Charlton Athletic midfielder Diego Poyet being the son of former Chelsea man and current Brighton & Hove Albion boss Gus Poyet.
