Blind squad pick up 6-0 win over Italy.

The England Blind Futsal Team turned in an exciting performance in their second group game of the IBSA European Championships, demolishing Italy in a 6-0 victory.
The Three Lions were rampant in the first half with the outstanding Dan English scoring twice with equally impressive displays of determination and impressive finishing.
Robin Williams made it 3-0 with a skilful run and shot leaving the Italian ‘keeper helpless. Keryn Seal continued to marshal the defence expertly and England’s ‘keeper Dan James reacted swiftly to thwart an Italian shot from close range. Striker Jon Gribbin cleverly beat the Italian defence to increase England’s tally to 4-0 at half time.
England started the second half in equally impressive form. Darren Harris drove forward and fired into the top right hand corner with a stunning finish.
Williams and Harris continued to drive the Three Lions forward making tireless runs and threatening the opposition goal before veteran striker Dave Clarke caused havoc in the closing stages of the game and completed the day’s scoring with a trademark run and finish.
Lee Brunton and Owen Bainbridge, making their competitive debuts, further added to England’s quality with assured performances.
England play their final group game against reigning European Champions France on Wednesday.
