  • England Blind Squad in action against Germany.

Wins over Germany and Thailand at the IBSA World Games.

It’s been a fantastic return to tournament play for the England Blind Squad this week with Dave Clarke scoring a pair of hat-tricks as the Three Lions beat both Thailand and Germany at the IBSA World Games group stage in Turkey.

Clarke was joined on the scoresheet by Robin Williams, as England beat Thailand 4-0 while Owen Bainbridge, Lee Brunton and Roy Turnham all made their debuts for Tony Larkin’s side.

England then went on to beat Germany 4-1, Clarke again finding the net three times while Dan English helped make certain of victory.

The World Games is England’s first tournament since last summer’s World Championship in Hereford where England finished fourth.

England complete their group stage fixtures later on Wednesday against 2008 Paralympic runners-up, China, in Antalya.
