England reach the semi-finals at Blind World Football Championship.

England will play Brazil in the semi-final of the Blind World Football Championship after a tense 1-0 win over Colombia on Thursday night.

The Three Lions needed only a draw to secure their place in the last four of the tournament and it was another Jon Gribbin goal after 17 minutes of the first period that settled it.

Gribbin's run into the area seemed to lose momentum as the 34-year-old was crowded out by the Colombian defence. But as the England hitman lost control, the ball skidded through the Colombian melee and trickled over the line.

With the rain lashing down in Hereford, England just couldn't double their lead in the second period, with Gribbin unlucky with countless shots while Dave Clarke saw a left foot effort cannon off the post.

Lewis Skyers was again outstanding in the England goal, foiling several attempts from the Colombian striker Pablo and Freddy Duvian, while John Hernandez narrowly missed a cross as time ran down.

Gribbin's strike sends him into second place for the Golden Boot Award on three goals while Spanish dangerman Antonio Martin leads the way with four.

England will play Brazil at 3pm on Saturday.
