England's Amputee Team enjoyed a hugely successful Bank Holiday weekend in Turkey where they secured back-to-back wins over their hosts.

The Three Lions scored five goals, without conceding, as they continued their preparation for the Amputee World Championships in Antalya, Turkey, in November.

In their first game, on Sunday, England declared their intentions by cruising to a 4-0 win - a victory inspired by captain Dave Tweed.

He scored a hat-trick in the resounding win, the first of which came after 17 minutes when he linked up with Lee Wolfenden before planting home.

After taking a slender lead into the break, England pressed hard on the accelerator when battle commenced in the second half, with Tweed again the driving force.

He added his and England's second five minutes after the interval before completing his treble moments later after good work from Mickey Chambers.

Lee Dobson scored England's fourth while Darren Mitchell and Ray Westbrook made their debuts as England closed out the victory.

It was a much closer affair 24 hours later but again the Lions prevailed, albeit by a solitary goal.

Wolfenden was England's hero when his 20 yard strike took a wicked deflection which wrong-footed the Turkish goalkeeper.

At the other end, English keeper Tyrone Welcome was in excellent form to ensure his side collected their second win in as many days.
