England C Manager Paul Fairclough has named a 16-man squad for the trip to Albania next month.
His side will take on the Albanian Under-21s in a friendly in the coastal city of Durres on Tuesday 16 October (kick-off 6pm local time) and his squad shows only two changes from the side that pulled off an excellent victory in Belgium earlier this month, a win that keeps the side very much in with a chance to reach the International Challenge Trophy Semi Final.
Paul Farman, the Lincoln City goalkeeper, finally gets a call-up after being a standby choice on a number of occasions and he is joined for the trip by Forest Green’s Matthew Taylor, bringing the total number of players from the West Country side to four, recognition of the excellent start that they have had to the season.
The squad announcement coincides with a flurry of loan transfers, with the Luton Town duo of Greg Taylor and Adam Watkins joining Tamworth and Kidderminster Harriers respectively whilst Guiseley defender Simon Ainge has moved south to join Luton.
The Squad
Preston Edwards (Ebbsfleet United), Paul Farman (Lincoln City), Greg Taylor (Tamworth), Aswad Thomas (Grimsby Town), Jamie Turley and Eddie Oshodi (both Forest Green Rovers), Simon Ainge (Luton Town), Lindon Mielkle (Mansfield Town), Josh Gilles (Gateshead), Matthew Taylor and Kieron Forbes (both Forest Green Rovers), James Vincent and Adam Watkins (both Kidderminster Harriers), Scott Spencer (Hyde), Andre Gray (Luton Town) and Josh Wilson (Guiseley).
