First planned meeting between nations is now off at Dagenham.

The FA can confirm that England C’s proposed fixture with India U23s at Dagenham & Redbridge on 6 September has been postponed following the cancellation of the India/Pakistan UK tour.

The India v Pakistan games, due to take place in Derby and Glasgow next month, were organised independently with the international fixture at Pride Park receiving FA clearance to be staged in this country.

A spokesman for The FA commented: “The knock on effect of the tour cancellation means that we have no choice but to postpone the England C fixture at Dagenham & Redbridge FC.”
