7pm, Tuesday 20 May 2008

The England C team begin their campaign in The Four Nations Tournament in North Wales on Tuesday evening, with their opening game against Gibraltar.

After winning the competition in Scotland last year, Paul Fairclough’s team will be determined to retain their title and will be confident of doing so against the Tournament newcomers.

Gibraltar were invited to enter the competition as a replacement for the Republic Of Ireland and they will meet the Three Lions at Colwyn Bay.

Following the Football Conference play-off final on Sunday which saw Exeter City beat Cambridge United, Fairclough has taken the opportunity to rest players who were involved  in that game at Wembley.

The starting line-up to face Gibraltar is:-

England C: Adam Bartlett (Blyth Spartans), Chris McPhee (Ebbsfleet United), John Brayford (Burton Albion), Michael Morrison (Cambridge United), Kevin Nicholson (Torquay United), Ben Harding, Lewis Chalmers (both Aldershot Town), Russell Penn (Kidderminster Harriers), Andy Burgess(Rushden & Diamonds), Mitchell Cole, Steve Morison (both Stevenage Borough).
