Profile
Lianne crowned a fantastic season for her old club Arsenal and England with two huge steps forward in her footballing development.
At just 18, Lianne took the accolade of 'Player of the match' in The FA Women's Cup Final where the Gunners showed their best form and dispatched Leeds United 5-0.
Lianne got the fifth goal and showed some fantastic touches throughout the match and that form was taken into The FA Women's Premier League as Arsenal roared home to their third successive title.
The icing on the cake for a brilliant season came when Lianne was called into the England squad for the World Cup Qualifier with Hungary at St. Mary's. Her fine club form caught the eye of Hope Powell and she was given a second half introduction and 35 minutes to show what she can do.
Lianne was part of the squad that qualified for the World Cup in China, clinching qualification with a 1-1 draw in Rennes. After scoring her first England goal in a Euro 2009 qualifier against Norther Ireland, Lianne went on to make her World Cup debut in England's quarter-final with USA.
Along with England colleague, Anita Asante, Lianne joined Chelsea in 2008.
