Sarah snares call up

Hope Powell has named a 30 player squad for a training camp between 16-21 January in Spain.

Head Coach Hope Powell has named a 30 player squad for a warm-weather training camp in La Manga between 16-21 January, as The Three Lions prepare for another busy six months ahead.

Two friendly internationals will hopefully precede the intriguing World Cup qualifier at home to France on March 26th, with England hoping to avenge Les Bleus' two legged play-off victory which saw them qualify at England's expense for the 2003 Finals.

After England kicked off their qualification campaign for China in 2007 with three consecutive victories, Powell has re-called Jo Fletcher and Karen Bardsley, along with talented young Sunderland 'keeper Carly Telford.

Michelle Evans, Katie Holtham (pictured above), Jill Scott and Lianne Sanderson (pictured below) also earn call-ups after impressive displays at club and U19 level, whilst Charlton Athletic striker Sarah Snare joins her fellow Addicks strikers, Amanda Barr and Eniola Aluko.

19 year old Snare has been one of the discoveries of the season so far in the National Division having broken into the first team squad at the end of last season, netting six goals in eleven appearances for the South London side this season.
