International Under-21 Friendly
7.30pm, Thursday 15 May 2008
The Racecourse Ground, Wrexham FC

England Under-21 Head Coach Stuart Pearce has named his squad for the international friendly game with Wales, which takes place in Wrexham early next month.

Following the draw with Poland in Wolverhampton in March, the Young Lions will be hoping to taste victory on this occasion in their final game of the season, as they continue to build up towards the last European Championship qualifier against Portugal in September.

There is a call-up for Queens Park Rangers defender Matt Connolly, whilst Martin Cranie (pictured left) is back in the squad after missing the majority of this season through an injury which he picked up whilst on loan at QPR.

The upturn in fortunes at Loftus Road in recent months is reflected further with a call-up for striker Dexter Blackstock, whose previous cap was won last September in Montenegro.

Wolves winger Michael Kightly is another face back in the squad after missing the last few England games with injury.
