Watch the highlights of the Under-21s as they battle with France in the European Championships play-off.

Peter Taylor is more determined than ever to bring success to England at Under-21 level, and believes that Tuesday night's game with Norway could be the start of a special campaign for the Young Lions.

Peter told TheFA.com: "I think we’ve got a strong and exciting squad here. Since the defeat against the French in the European U21 Championship play-off in November we’ve lost a few of the older players but still have many of that team around.

"I think we were unlucky against France, both with things that happened on the pitch and with a few important players who were missing through injury.

"But that will only give us more determination to qualify for the next Euro finals in the summer of 2007."

With a significant gap since the last international week, Peter has been looking forward to the opportunity to get his squad back together and feels that the venue could also help them.

"It’s good to be back in action after the winter and a break of more than three months. Reading is a good place to be playing football at the minute; the club is flying high at the top of the Championship, so hopefully some of their confidence can rub off on us.

"Seeing the lads again for a couple of days this week has been nice. We have a very good group of talented players who have been playing very well for their clubs. And it’s a mixture, too, of younger lads fairly new to this level with some who are returning to the squad after a little while away.

"Luke Moore has been doing very well at Villa and has been enjoying a recent scoring run which will only benefit him and the team when he comes into the England fold.

"We also see Cameron Jerome and Leroy Lita back with us. It will obviously be an extra special night for Leroy, on his home soil. He’s only had one game for us in the friendly against Holland last year but he scored in that."

Depite being confident in his players, Peter is well aware that the opposition will be no pushovers.

"Norway will be a strong team, of that I’m sure," he added. "They are always well organised and athletic and I’m expecting a very good friendly match. It’ll be a tough test, but a good one to start the New Year."
