England U21s Coach Peter Taylor is remaining upbeat ahead of Friday's European Championship play-off first leg despite the loss of three players to injury.

The Three Lions will be without Nigel Reo-Coker, Aaron Lennon and Leighton Baines from the original 26-man squad named last week for the two matches against France.

However, Taylor says that his team is still full of talented players who will give England the best chance of reaching next year's Finals.

"Obviously it's disappointing to lose players of their quality but this squad has a lot of strength in depth," he told TheFA.com

"These are two massive games for us and I'm sure that whatever team we put out will have the confidence and ability to see us through over the two legs."

The first match is at White Hart Lane on Friday night with a 7.30pm kick-off with the return leg taking place in the French town of Nancy next Tuesday evening.

The home game will be screened live on Sky Sports, but if you like to get tickets for the game, click here.
